Pioneers of the Polish folkrevival.
In the late 80s, Chudoba belonged to the first group of Polish musicians who freely explored their own folk traditions and beyond, for example, looking to Ireland and Bolivia. Freely translated, their band name means ‘scarce posessions’, which clearly did not reflect their extensive instrumentation, which included nine musicians playing instruments such as accordion, flutes, mandolin, guitar, double bass, harpsichord, and jew’s harp.
