A surprising twofold homage to The Beatles.
Forty years after The Beatles took the hit parades by storm with Please Please Me, there were two albums where Beatles music was retranslated into another style or genre. The American doo wop revival group ‘The Persuasions’ sang a whole album of Beatle covers and various artists in Cuba recorded localised Beatles songs on the CD Here Comes El Son.
