Two hours of browsing through early music. This time with the famous Missa ‘Se la face ay pale’ by Guillaume Dufay.
This Mass is based in its entirety on the song ‘Se la face ay pale’ written by Dufay himself.
The Missa ‘Se la face ay pale’ is a famous example of a Mass which focuses on a worldly song. In all parts, the song can be heard in the tenor as a so-called cantus firmus.
We make excursions to dance music from the time of Dufay, 15th century.
