American composer and clarinet player Daniel Goode (78) combines unrivaled virtuosity with minimalistic composing techniques.
Goode is still very much active within the New York new music scene, with his DownTown Ensemble and the Flexible Orchestra among other things. His many-coloured music include influences from the Indonesian gamelan, bird song, early minimal and European folk.
