Post-minimalism according to Michael Byron. In this theme-broadcast we pay attention to the little heard oeuvre of the 62-year-old American composer Michael Byron.

Post-minimalism is a many-branched movement within American music beginning in the 80s.
For decades, the American composer Michael Byron has his own niche. Music with a refined poetic quality, somewhere between dreamy ambient, captivating mathematical constructions, and lyrical minimal music.
A composer who feels at home within the experimental musical tradition of both the east and the west coast. Byron learned the trade from musical pioneer James Tenney, but also worked closely together with icons such as Rhys Chatham, David Rosenboom, and Richard Teitelbaum.
In this theme-broadcast we pay attention to the little heard oeuvre of the 62-year-old Michael Byron.
