More or less Montague.
78-year-old American British composer Stephen Montague has his very own view of the tradition of minimal music. Some of his compositions are very minimalistic and repetitive, others are filled with playful references to folk music and experimental and electronic avant-garde. He is an amazingly restless composer, who prefers not to get pinned and stuck on a single genre and who continues to write very appealing music. A true globetrotter who lived in New York, Idaho, Florida, Warsaw among other places and has lived in London since 1974. This Theme broadcast we share concise cross-section of his body of work: from works for piano, accordion, harpsichord and string quartet, to larger-scale choral and orchestral works.
