1. Red Hot + Latin.
The original edition of Silencio=Muerte by Red Hot + Latin was a project organised by the Red Hot organisation in Los Angeles in 1996. It was meant to collect money to stop the spreading of AIDS in America and the American Latino community. In order to do so they asked for help from musicians, artists, labels, publishers and music lovers. In 2006 the band released a REDUX of the CD. Much has changed in 10 years, not only in music, but also in the understanding of AIDS in the Latino community. The songs of the original Red Hot + Latin have withstood the test of time and still sound fresh and exciting.

2. Spanish Harlem Orchestra.

3. In the Tradition.
This is the third album of Detroit-based Jazz Ensemble known as In The Tradition. They play a fusion of straight jazz, African rhythms and Bi-Bop. With every new release the vision of the band is more defined. The ensemble excists of twelve musicians and vocalists. The band succesfully created a beautiful album in the studios of the American “Motor City”.

4. A Six Degrees Ten Years Anniversary Project.
To celebrate their birthday label Six Degrees has asked artists to put their mark on a number of well-known songs. The result is a CD with twelve artists performing songs of world-famous artists. The result: a percussion edition of The Police’s Spirits In The Material World, an instrumental version of Lennon & McCartney’s Julia and Herbie Hancock’s Rockit by duo dZihan & Karmien and nine more interpretations. This is more than just remixing; Six Degrees turns the songs 180º around, and they are good at it.

5. Imaginary Homeland.
After two years in rural Ghana jazz composer David Rogers searched for the connections between country music and polyrhythmic percussion. The results of his search are on this CD. David Rogers is an innovative composer, saxophonist and improvisor whose music is influenced by the American jazz tradition and a range of global styles, from Appalachian to Malian guitar riffs. David’s music is a combination of composed melodies and intricate counterpoints with fiery rhythms and improvisation, and is heard in both jazz clubs as Concert Halls.

6. Southpaw Isle Steel band.
The unique, rhythm-driven music of Southpaw Isle is a blend of jazz, classical, samba and calypso. The group is well-known for its high performances, like the world premier of A Caribbean Christmas Mass, of the sold out performances in the Detroit Symphony Orchestra Educational Concert Series, and from performing in the final of the World Steelband Festival in Trinidad.
