In 1970 Joe Zawinul along with Wayne Shorter formed the ‘Fusion’ band Weather Report. This band would exist for 22 years. At the 1979 Weather Report – LIVE in Tokyo concert, recorded by Columbia records, the band consisted of Wayne Shorter soprano and tenor sax, Joe Zawinul all kinds of keyboards, Jaco Pastorius bass guitar and Peter Erskine drums. An absolute top-notch line-up.
