The American piano player Teddy Wilson (1912-1986) counts as one of the great of the swing period. He became famous with the trio and quartet of clarinet player Benny Goodman but today we will hear him with his own trio from 1957.

The renowned quintet of tenor saxophone player Eddie ‘Lockjaw’ Davis (1922-1986) and Johnny Griffin (1928-2008) part 2. The fun of playing splashed around; they valued each other and were good friends. Today live recordings from Minton’s Playhouse in New York in January 1961.
