American pianist Jason Moran (1975) has become one of the most well-known modernists on his instrument. On top of that he combines different styles, from stride or free to classical, into one captivating whole. We first hear him perform a solo from 2002, followed by a performance together with tenorist Sam Rivers from 2001.
