For a long time Johann Nepomuk Hummel (1778-1837) was the most famous composer in Europe. Haydn, Schubert, Beethoven, Mozart, Liszt, Spohr, Mendelssohn, Schumann and even Chopin loved him. Nowadays he is being heavily underestimated.
