Het jaarlijkse FAQ Festival vond dit jaar plaats op 17 en 18 april in de Toonzaal in ’s Hertogenbosch. In dit tweede FAQ Festival 2015 uur kunt u luisteren naar concertopnamen van Stephan Mathieu en Yuri Landman.

Special about Modular Synth music focussing mainly on more recent works. The analogue techniques that were used in modular sound synthesis in earlier days are becoming more popular today. Now they are more affordable and certainly more practical when traveling with just a suitcase full of electronic goodies. The sounds are often raw and direct.

In the first episode after he left Folk It! programme maker Arjan van Sorge immediately sets the tone with a number of cutting-edge, relevant new tracks by Jóhann Jóhannsson, Julia Kent, Rival Consoles, Kita Kouhei, Co La, Fryadlus, and others. From extremely relaxed ambient to over the top hyper jazz and everything in between.

With Le Guess Who? just around the corner, we literally dropped the record collection in this Pakrammel and combined it in an eclectic hour of music, that somewhat reflects the width of the festival in Utrecht. An hour of adventurous music with a little jump into early disco from Chicago, this year re-released on the re-issue label Numero Group, that has gotten a special place on the programme of Le Guess Who? this year.
