Monthly platform for the Ars Acustica. Varying from experimental impro to acousmatics, from sound and radio art to composed contemporary music. With frequent attention for festivals and home recordings. The very first episode of the new year is traditionally a Tabula Rasa, a clean slate. What will this year bring us musically? Will they continue building on established traditions? Will we hear completely new sounds? Will pop culture completely take over and will the less accessible contemporary music have harder times than hitherto or will we get a revival of deepening? It’s anybody’s guess! Meanwhile this Café Sonore draws attentions to a couple of trends including pure ADHD jazz by Cnirbs; current ambient by Biosphere; Radiofonics of the past and the pride of Holland with Banabilla and Van Geel.

We will begin this episode with “Time and Space” by the band “Time and Space Machine”, a song that can be programmed for Free Radicals, because in this programme we travel through time and across the globe. In this episode music from Italy, Germany and Senegal among others. New music that sounds old and old music that is alive again.

In this episode of Pakrammel we call attention for Spinifex. Recently this ensemble celebrated their 10th anniversary with a special ‘all star’ formation compilation, entitled Spinifex Maximus. A CD box with their 5 unreleased albums until now, including their last piece of art Spinifex Maximus, was released simultaneously with this tour. During this episode we will pay attention to this recently released CD box.

Art’s Birthday 2016 #1. In the Café Sonore Special in honour of Art’s Birthday 2016 you can listen to all the fine things that has been send into air via global stations for four hours long. A couple of expected and unexpected guests will also show up and a number of radio plays, created on the spot, will take place under the instructions from Lukas Simonis (Dr. Klangendum). In short, it will become a genuine Fluxus evening of varied entertainment.
