UK Folkrock from the 60’s and 70’s of the 20th century. In England, Scotland and Ireland, folk went electric. Traditional music was translated for a new time. The most famous examples of this musical explosion are Fairport Convention and Steeleye Span, which can be heard in this episode of Free Radicals. Additionally, music by the Tannahill Weavers, The Bothy Band, New Celeste, Fotheringay, and some variations of Blondel and the Albion Country Band. An hour of mythic chant, fairytales and solid, swinging rock music.
